Intervention Teacher (Grades 7-12)

CSI Funds The school is seeking a qualified Intervention Teacher to support students in grades 7-12, with a focus on students with disabilities and other at-risk learners. This CSI-funded position is designed to improve academic outcomes for the special education subgroup through targeted interventions and tutoring. Key Responsibilities Provide small-group and individualized academic interventions aligned to state standards. Support implementation of standards-based IEP goals in collaboration with special education staff. Provide tutoring and targeted support to help students progress toward grade-level proficiency. Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction. Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and administrators. Maintain required documentation and progress monitoring records. Qualifications Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate. Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Experience working with students with disabilities and/or at-risk students. Knowledge of standards-based instruction and intervention strategies. Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations Preferred Qualifications Special Education endorsement or intervention experience. Experience working with students in grades 7-12.
Salary Range:
According to Cherokee County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by degree and verified experience.
