Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in AZ

Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This contract position supports educational programs by providing remote instruction and assistance to students with visual impairments, ensuring they receive tailored educational resources and interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students through telehealth platforms Collaborating with educational teams to develop individualized learning plans that address each student's needs Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress remotely Providing training and resources to families and school personnel to enhance learning environments Maintaining accurate records of services rendered and student outcomes Utilizing assistive technologies to facilitate effective remote instruction Preferred qualifications and experience: Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) or equivalent Proven experience delivering educational services to visually impaired students, preferably via telehealth Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive instruction methods Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordinating with remote teams and families Ability to work independently and manage schedules effectively in a remote service delivery model
