Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile classroom supporter, stepping into various teaching environments to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for young learners. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards and individual student needs Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development Collaborate with staff on lesson planning and adapt instructional methods for diverse learners, including those requiring special education or early intervention services Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies during daily interactions with children Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in accordance with daycare and preschool standards Being available to cover for absences, breaks and meal times Substituting in each classroom when needed Able to work various tasks and float from classroom to classroom and task to task Assisting in caring for all daily needs of children in the classroom Qualifications Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool experience Knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies Familiarity with curriculum development, standardized testing, tutoring, and lesson planning for young children Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in childhood development is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a floater teacher Demonstrated understanding of mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices Experience teaching physical education or working with students requiring special education services is advantageous Join us as a Floater Teacher to inspire young minds while gaining valuable classroom experience across various early childhood settings. Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
