Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle and high school students requiring special education services in a self-contained classroom environment. Starting in August for the 26/27 school year, this full-time, in-person role is ideal for a dedicated educator passionate about making a difference for students with mild to moderate needs. Serving grades 7-12, you'll work closely with a caseload of up to 10 students (currently 5), focusing on a Behavior Intervention Program within an Emotional Disability classroom. You'll have the support of two full-time classroom aides, creating an environment where hands-on collaboration and individualized attention help students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required) Previous experience working with middle and high school students (grades 7-12), preferably in a self-contained or behavior intervention/emotional disability setting Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for students with mild to moderate needs Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and structured classroom environment Ability to work in-person for the full academic year
Role Responsibilities:
