Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference supporting students with special needs in a collaborative school environment! This contract opportunity calls for a credentialed Special Education Teacher with the flexibility and passion needed to provide exceptional instruction and services for the upcoming school year. You'll work onsite for 37.5 hours per week, utilizing your skills to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom setting. Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education programs, collaborating with general education staff and specialists, maintaining accurate documentation, and adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs. While further information on specific duties and caseload details will be provided, your dedication to student progress and partnership with colleagues will be central to your role.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching credential (or proof of eligibility) Experience developing and adapting IEPs tailored to students' goals and needs Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families Willingness to work onsite and commit to the full academic year Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction and monitor student progress Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local SPED regulations Engage families and related service providers as part of the educational team Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reviews Provide classroom management and behavioral support as needed This contract position offers the chance to grow as an educator while impacting students' lives throughout the school year.
