Student Population:
Elementary & Middle School About the Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with Moderate/Severe Disabilities or Extensive Support Needs in an elementary and middle school setting. This is an ongoing school-year assignment with a collaborative team committed to helping students reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. The selected candidate will provide specialized instruction, case management, and IEP support while partnering with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success. Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM
- 3:15 PM 34 hours per week Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction for students with moderate/severe disabilities.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Conduct assessments and maintain accurate student records. Support student academic, behavioral, social, and functional goals. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Provide support for secondary student transition planning and related IEP services as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential Moderate/Severe Disabilities or Extensive Support Needs CLAD Certification or English Learner Authorization Completion of California Basic Skills Requirement Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school teams Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $59
