Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for the full upcoming school year. This position is ideal for an educator eager to make a genuine difference while enjoying a flexible, part-time schedule in a supportive school environment. In this role, you'll support a caseload of 7-8 students with Deaf/Hard of Hearing needs as outlined in their IEPs. Currently, three students require weekly 60-minute sessions, with the remainder on a monthly service plan. Your flexibility and specialized skills will be instrumental in delivering individualized instruction and advocacy, fostering student growth in both academic and communication skills. What we're looking for: Current and active California Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License (DHH) Experience developing and implementing IEPs for DHH students preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills—working closely with families and school teams Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet a variety of student needs Dedication to empowering students to achieve academic and personal goals Responsibilities will include: Providing direct instruction and support services as indicated in students' IEPs Monitoring progress and updating educational plans as needed Collaborating with general educators, SLPs, and support staff Documenting student meetings, progress, and reports accurately and timely Partnering with families to ensure cohesive educational approaches Enjoy the perks of highly competitive, weekly compensation alongside robust benefits.
