Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take your passion for education to the next level by making an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with 7th grade students in a resource classroom setting. This full-time contract position offers the rewarding challenge of supporting students' academic and social development at a pivotal stage, all while working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements must be met) Previous experience working with middle school or similar age students preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to 7th grade students in a resource classroom environment Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Utilize data and assessments to tailor lesson plans and interventions Foster a positive, supportive learning environment to enhance student confidence and achievement Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and communication Grow your instructional skills while helping students thrive academically and socially.
