General Education Teacher:
$49,820 - $56,794.80 annually
Special Education Certified Teacher:
$53,053 - $60,480.42 annually TriSource Staffing Solutions is seeking a passionate Special Education Science Teacher (Grades 9-12) on behalf of a client in Washington, Connecticut. If you're passionate about helping students with learning differences, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges reach their full potential, this is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact in a supportive residential school environment. What You'll Do As a Science Teacher, you will provide engaging, individualized instruction while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and social success.
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver engaging, student-centered Science instruction for grades 9-12. Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles. Participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process by contributing student performance data, accommodations, modifications, and transition planning. Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment through social-emotional learning practices. Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, Behavior Specialists, Speech and Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses, and school leadership. Implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), maintaining a strong focus on skill development and positive reinforcement. Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices. Maintain accurate documentation and student progress records.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Connecticut Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification Passion for working with students with behavioral, emotional, and learning differences
Preferred:
