Hours/Week Setting:
On-Site | Elementary, High School & Secondary Vocational A school district in the Newark area is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist for a full-time, full-school-year assignment. This is a staff-support role focused on behavioral consultation, intervention planning, training, and collaboration rather than direct student care.
Position Details:
Full-time position 37.5 hours per week Full school year Elementary through high school settings Secondary vocational setting included BCBA assistant/apprenticeship-style responsibilities Building-level support for school staff Collaborate with School Psychologists and BCBAs Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs Provide staff training, consultation, and behavioral modeling Collect data and make data-driven recommendations Participate in IEP and parent meetings Provide crisis support Manage multiple responsibilities independently
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field Strong foundation in ABA principles K-12 behavioral experience in special education preferred Ability to work independently Instructional Paraprofessional Permit through the Delaware Department of Education Apply Today!
