Job Description

Position Summary The ideal candidate creates a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 24-36 months. Using a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, the teacher supports children's natural curiosity through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships while meeting all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements. Essential Responsibilities Provide attentive care and supervision to young toddlers at all times. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Maintain positive communication with families regarding their child's daily experiences and progress. Follow all Florida DCF licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other daily care routines. Work collaboratively with administrators, and families. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Florida DCF 45-hour Introductory Child Care Training (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe). Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. Desired Qualities Patient, nurturing, and dependable. Passion for early childhood education and child-led learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with young children.

$16.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
