Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all children. Conduct assessments of each child's development progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction accordingly. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support ongoing learning at home. Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and other required documentation in compliance with licensing standards. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; classroom management skills are highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices. Certification or licensing in early childhood education or related fields is required; familiarity with VPK program standards is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and Montessori methods if applicable.
