Job Description

AchievePoint Florida in Homestead, FL is seeking an ESE Teacher for Chambers High School.
Job Summary:
The ESE Teacher is responsible for compliance with IDEA and state statutes through the facilitation, drafting, and implementation of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans. They maintain rigorous, data-driven records of student progress toward IEP goals, explicitly detailing specially designed instruction (SDI), modifications, and accommodations in weekly lesson plans. As the primary service provider, the teacher delivers direct instruction aligned with Florida's B.E.S.T. standards, adapts methods for diverse disabilities, and implements and monitors Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). This role also requires the teacher to proctor state-mandated assessments while ensuring all documented accommodations are provided and maintaining regular, documented communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors of Arts or Science Degree in Special Education, or in related field of Education; Valid Florida Professional Special Education Teacher certification; Minimum three (3) years of Special Education teaching experience; Willing to acquire a Reading Endorsement and add to state certification; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; Both Achieve Learning and AchievePoint Florida will extend equal employment and advancement opportunities to all qualified individuals regardless of their race, color, religion, creed, age (40 and over), sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, disability, national origin, ethnic background, genetic information (including of a family member), past, current, or prospective military service, and/or citizenship, or any other classification protected by applicable local, state or federal law.
