Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including subjects such as mathematics, literacy, physical education, and creative writing Utilize instructional modifications to accommodate students with special education needs and diverse learning styles Implement assessment strategies, including standardized testing preparation and formative evaluations, to monitor student progress Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation among students from various cultural backgrounds Incorporate educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and facilitate engagement Manage classroom responsibilities effectively, including behavior management and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic achievements through parent-teacher meetings and written reports Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school initiatives to ensure cohesive educational delivery Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or library services to support holistic development Stay current with educational compliance regulations and best practices in childhood development to continuously improve teaching effectiveness Skills (Can include but not limited to...) Strong knowledge of mathematics topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and proofing techniques Excellent proofreading, copy editing skills, and familiarity with the academic writing standards. Familiarity with English Language arts. Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation across middle and high school levels Ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles and effectively work with students from diverse backgrounds Proficiency in integrating learning technology and educational software into daily instruction Exceptional communication skills for clear instruction, public speaking engagements, and parent interactions Classroom management expertise combined with behavior management strategies to maintain an organized learning environment Experience working with children with special education needs or those requiring instructional modifications Background in sports coaching or physical education to support student health and extracurricular engagement Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and personally while fostering a supportive classroom climate Knowledge of standardized testing procedures, academic advising techniques, and education administration principles Reading comprehension skill building Experience working in private or independent school settings is advantageous Join us in shaping the future by empowering students through innovative teaching practices!
