This is not a traditional kindergarten classroom . Our students require individualized instruction, structure, patience, and a teacher who understands that successful teaching sometimes means shifting from academics to behavioral support and then smoothly transitioning students back into learning. The majority of students in this classroom have the support of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) throughout the school day. The classroom teacher will work collaboratively with RBTs and support personnel while remaining responsible for the academic instruction, classroom environment, and overall educational progress of the students. Responsibilities Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction to Kindergarten students with varying learning and behavioral needs. Teach and effectively implement the Abeka curriculum , while modifying instruction when necessary to meet individual student needs. Integrate the Word of God and biblical principles naturally throughout classroom instruction and daily interactions. Create a structured, loving, Christ-centered classroom environment. Work collaboratively with RBTs, behavior support personnel, administration, and families. Understand when to shift between academic instruction and behavior intervention/support . Differentiate instruction based on students' individual abilities and learning styles. Maintain classroom routines while remaining flexible when students require additional behavioral or emotional support. Monitor and document student academic and developmental progress. Demonstrate patience, compassion, consistency, and strong classroom leadership. Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who understands that progress may look different for every child . Candidates should be:

Passionate about working with children with special needs. Extremely patient, flexible, and compassionate. Comfortable working alongside multiple RBTs within one classroom. Able to manage both academics and behavioral needs. Strong in classroom organization and communication. Willing and able to teach from a Christian worldview .
