9615362-34997 Job Description Step into an impactful role supporting students who are visually impaired across several schools in the Stuart, FL area. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity will have you working within a collaborative atmosphere, utilizing your expertise to make a meaningful difference. The assignment runs from early October through June 1, covering the entire school year. In this position, youll support a direct caseload of 12 students, delivering approximately 690 service minutes weekly, as well as providing consultative services for two additional students. Assignments will be spread across five schools, offering variety and the chance to connect with diverse educational teams and families.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid FL DOE Teacher for Visually Impaired certification is necessary Demonstrated experience teaching Braille Familiarity with K-12 student populations, ideally in a school setting Comfort traveling between multiple school sites Ability to complete district fingerprinting requirements (previous prints in the AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite the process) Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to visually impaired students Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Adapt and modify curriculum as needed to promote student success Consult with educators and families on strategies and accommodations Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress Serve as a resource on visual impairment best practices within the schools Become a vital resource for students and educators by bringing your skills and compassion to this rewarding position.
