Future Kids Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our growing team! Preschool Teacher - 3-Year-Old Classroom The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for three-year-old children. This role focuses on supporting children's social, emotional, language, physical, and early academic development through purposeful play, hands-on learning, and structured classroom experiences. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities. Lead circle time, music, art, sensory exploration, and outdoor learning experiences. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Encourage positive behavior using developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques. Support children with meals, potty training, handwashing, and other daily routines. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment. Complete required classroom documentation, observations, and child assessments. Communicate professionally and positively with families regarding children's daily progress and development. Build nurturing and respectful relationships with each child. Ensure compliance with all Florida DCF licensing regulations, health requirements, and safety standards. Work collaboratively with other teachers and center staff to provide consistent, high-quality care and education.
Qualifications Qualified candidates should have:
High School Diploma or GED (Required) Florida 45-Hour DCF Child Care Training (Required) Minimum of one (1) year of childcare or preschool teaching experience (Required/Preferred) CDA (Child Development Associate) or Early Childhood Education coursework (Preferred) CPR and First Aid Certification (Preferred) or willingness to obtain Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive, patient, dependable, and professional attitude Passion for early childhood education Ability to successfully pass a Local and Federal (FDLE) Level 2 Background Screening Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus Knowledge of Florida DCF regulations and licensed childcare practices is a plus Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor with children. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Respond quickly and appropriately to children's needs while maintaining a safe environment. Work comfortably in an active, fast-paced childcare setting. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts Schedule will be between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pay $15.00-$18.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
