Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Georgia Special Education Teaching Certification Previous experience working with early elementary students preferred Strong ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to diverse learning needs Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group instruction in a blended classroom setting for 1st and 2nd graders with varied learning abilities Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation for assigned caseload Collaborate with general education teachers, speech and occupational therapists, and other support staff Foster an encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and achievement Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and classroom activities Participate in professional development and school meetings as required This opportunity begins August 3, 2026, and extends through May 21, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 35 hours over five days.
