Job Classification:
Certified 10-month (190-day contract) Reports to: School Principal
Pay Scale:
Certified Salary Schedule Candidate must have or be eligible for certification in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12), Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P-12) and/or Special Education core academic content at the P-5 level issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Candidates should be passionate and dedicated to Special Education and willing to serve students in preschool through 2nd grade with significant disabilities. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, implement adaptive strategies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students' academic, social, and life skills development.
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to ensure accessibility for students with significant disabilities. Utilize assistive technology and other specialized tools to enhance learning. Implement positive behavior support strategies to promote student success. Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred. Ability to lift and assist students with mobility needs as required.
