Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Proven experience teaching students with disabilities (mild to moderate and/or severe) Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to adapt curriculum and individualize instruction for student success Positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with students and team members
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized instruction in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student achievement Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and records as required by the district Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence and growth Utilize a variety of instructional methods and adaptive technologies to meet diverse learning needs Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as appropriate Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
