Job Description
50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for a school-based position in Bloomington, IL . The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with diverse learning needs while fostering a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' academic, behavioral, and functional needs. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student goals. Implement accommodations, modifications, and positive behavior intervention strategies. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) regulations, and district policies. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement required. Previous school-based special education experience preferred.
