Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Webster County Middle School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic success. This full-time position requires a commitment to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of middle school students, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary for their future educational journeys. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and classroom participation. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and positive behavior. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to support student learning and address any challenges. Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience. Provide individualized support and intervention for students who require additional assistance. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other essential documentation. Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and extracurricular activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification for middle school education in the state of Kentucky. Strong understanding of middle school pedagogy and child development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning styles and needs of students. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
