Special Education Teacher - Worcester, MA

Job Description

Make a real difference in the lives of young learners by supporting 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This contract opportunity is located near Worcester, MA, and offers a chance to work onsite in a dynamic school environment, collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and specialists. This full-time role runs from 8:00AM to 2:30PM with a start date as soon as possible and is anticipated to extend through June 25, 2026. Youll provide direct classroom instruction, create and modify individualized education plans (IEPs), and work closely with families and faculty to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active MA licensure/certification for Moderate or Severe disabilities (required) School-based experience as a Special Education Teacher (required) Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with intellectual or developmental delays Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Successful completion of CORI search and fingerprinting (letter of suitability from previous employer for fingerprints may be accepted) Comfortable with Zoom interviews Responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs for assigned students Designing differentiated instruction to meet a variety of learning needs Collaborating with other educators, therapists, and families to support student goals Maintaining detailed, accurate progress records and reports Fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment onsite This role offers you the chance to expand your professional skills while making a positive, lasting impact in the community.
