Lead Teacher Alignstaffing - 3.3 Baltimore, MD Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Contract From $23 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Behavior management Classroom management Caregiving Early childhood education Master's degree Lesson planning Associate's degree Classroom Teaching Child Development Associate Certification Teaching Early Childhood Education Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education program. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety and well-being of all enrolled children, including maintaining active supervision and child-to-staff ratios at all times Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment appropriate to children's developmental levels and learning styles Develop and implement written weekly lesson plans and individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct ongoing observation, assessment, and documentation of each child's behavior and progress Provide a variety of activities and experiences that promote physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development Support children in developing language, independence, self-expression, and social skills Establish positive relationships with parents and caregivers; conduct regular parent conferences and home visits Supervise, train, and evaluate Assistant Teachers, volunteers, and student workers Organize and chair team planning sessions and Class Committee Make appropriate referrals based on assessments and team planning Maintain all required records (attendance, meal counts, sign-in/out sheets, etc.) Follow all program policies, licensing regulations, and grantee standards Participate in a minimum of 15 clock hours of professional development training per year
Qualifications Teacher I:
Associate's degree in
Child Development or Early Childhood Education Teacher II:
Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent coursework in Elementary Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Special Education — must obtain CDA within 3 months of hire
Teacher III:
Master's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Requirements Must pass all required background checks and screenings Ability to meet physical demands of an early childhood classroom (standing, bending, lifting, active supervision) Professional dress code compliance required About Us Established in 1998, Alignstaffing recognized the challenges in the education system and sought to connect highly skilled and passionate educators with institutions in need.
