Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced afternoon teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a passion for fostering a positive learning environment for school-aged children. This role offers an opportunity to lead engaging activities, support children's developmental needs, and collaborate with staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience. Candidates should have experience working with children in various educational settings, including preschool, daycare, or private schools, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to school-age children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods as applicable. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, behavior management, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom activities to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and growth. Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to ensure all students receive appropriate support. Monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing; adapt instruction accordingly. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to communicate student progress and address individual needs. Supervise classroom assistants and volunteers; provide guidance on classroom management techniques. Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and maintain high standards of child welfare and safety. Incorporate diverse teaching methods including tutoring, teaching physical education, and literacy activities to enhance student engagement. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in accordance with school policies. Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood or school-age settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or Montessori environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and special education strategies. Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and create an inclusive learning atmosphere. Experience working with students with diverse needs including special education or early intervention programs is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare settings is essential for success in this role.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
