9592143-21220 Job Description Make a lasting impact by providing essential vision services to students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in a contract role near Middle River, MD. Collaborate with a dedicated team of five experienced TVIs and one Orientation & Mobility Specialist, supporting a dynamic and supportive environment. The position offers a start date of August 31, 2026, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications:

Valid state certification or credential to teach students with visual impairments Prior experience delivering instruction to students who are visually impaired or blind, ideally in a school setting Ability to interpret and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and communication skills Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites (transportation may be required) Demonstrated commitment to fostering independence in students with visual impairments

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative vision services to students as outlined in their IEPs Collaborate with fellow TVIs, O&M specialists, classroom teachers, and families to maximize student support Conduct functional vision assessments and recommend accommodations or modifications Adapt instructional materials and environments to be accessible Maintain clear records of student progress and document services delivered across assigned schools
