Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An excellent full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work onsite with a caseload of 15 students as part of the Learning for Life Program. This contract position begins mid-August and continues through early June, offering a rewarding chance to make a difference each day in a supportive middle school environment.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably in a specialized program Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

Providing direct instruction and support to students in the Learning for Life Program Developing, implementing, and regularly assessing IEPs to ensure student growth Collaborating with general education staff and related service providers to create cohesive educational experiences Participating in team meetings, staff development, and professional learning communities Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and participation Fostering a safe, structured, and positive classroom climate that encourages student achievement This onsite role follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30am to 3:30pm, throughout the school year.
