Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Prior experience in elementary school special education settings, ideally K-1 Skilled at creating individualized education plans and adapting curriculum Comfortable collaborating with a team of educational professionals Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and staff Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a self-contained classroom for K-1 students with unique learning needs Collaborate closely with educational technicians and other team members Develop and implement individualized instruction that is both engaging and effective Monitor student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document outcomes Communicate regularly with families and contribute to IEP meetings
