Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Discovery Kids Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills in children. Duties Develop and implement creative, curriculum-based activities aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Manage classroom environments effectively through strong behavior management and classroom management techniques to promote positive interactions and learning. Deliver child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education considerations and early intervention strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, and following child welfare protocols. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and school-wide initiatives to enhance the educational experience for all students. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and special education needs. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively. Relevant certifications such as first aid and CPR; additional qualifications in early childhood education or Montessori teaching are a plus. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, behavior management techniques, and physical education activities for young children. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners while maintaining a lively and motivating classroom atmosphere. Pay:
$17.75 - $19.28 per hour
