This contract, full-time opportunity is designed for a passionate Special Education Teacher eager to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by fostering academic growth, social development, and a positive classroom environment.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current state certification in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8) Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach Organizational skills for documentation, data tracking, and lesson planning Flexibility and creativity in adapting instructional methods to diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in your caseload Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to a range of learning abilities and needs Collaborate closely with general education teachers and staff to support inclusion and student success Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to families and team members Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging classroom where students feel valued Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as required Advocate for your students and communicate regularly with parents or guardians This is a full-time, contract position for the entire school year, offering you the chance to shape academic journeys and build lasting relationships with students and colleagues.
