Responsibilities Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Implement instructional modifications and accommodations aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education law requirements. Utilize educational technology tools and learning platforms to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all learners. Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, parents, and other stakeholders to coordinate instructional efforts and share best practices. Conduct assessments, standardized testing, and progress monitoring to evaluate student achievement and inform instructional planning. Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education, behavioral therapy, speech therapy, literacy education, and other relevant areas. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development or a related field; advanced certifications preferred. Proven classroom experience with children or students with disabilities, including experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, IEP processes, and special education law. Familiarity with educational technology integration, learning tools, and assistive devices for diverse learners. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies for students with special needs.
