Job Summary
Mary Queen of Peace is seeking a faithful and dedicated Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Catechist to lead or assist children during regular school hours. The CGS Catechist works collaboratively with the parish and school faith formation teams to create a prayerful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Atrium environment where children can listen to, meditate on, and live out the Word of God.
Job Responsibilities Session Preparation:
Prepare and set up materials for weekly Atrium sessions, ensuring the space remains clean, orderly, and inviting.
Instruction & Guidance:
Lead or assist small groups of children through CGS presentations and quiet work time aligned with CGS principles.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the CGS team, parish staff, and school educators to support the spiritual formation of the children.
Atrium Management:
Maintain essential Atrium materials and ensure the space reflects a quiet, contemplative, and reverence-filled environment.
Job Requirements Mission Alignment:
Active practicing Catholic with a passion for early childhood spiritual formation.
