Our Montessori adolescent program is built around meaningful work, hands-on learning, community responsibility, and real-world experiences rooted in a Christian environment. Students spend their days engaged in projects, cooking, caring for the land and animals, collaborative academic work, and contributing meaningfully to the life of the school and one another. We are seeking a full-time Adolescent Guide (Middle School Teacher) to help lead and grow this community alongside the Head of School. This person will guide core academic subject areas connected to their strengths and interests while helping adolescents grow in independence, responsibility, leadership, curiosity, and faith. Responsibilities Lead core academic subject areas within the adolescent program Guide students through hands-on, project-based learning experiences Support student leadership within community work systems Help maintain a calm, purposeful, and orderly environment Supervise and support students during community work, cooking, outdoor work, and project time Build strong relationships with adolescents and families Collaborate closely with the Head of School and adolescent team Support the growth of student independence, accountability, and meaningful contribution to the community Ideal Qualities Warm, calm, and relational presence with adolescents Interest in Montessori philosophy and adolescent development Comfortable with hands-on learning, outdoor work, and project-based education Organized and flexible Able to guide students with both warmth and clear expectations Excited to help build and grow a developing adolescent program Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Montessori experience or interest preferred Experience working with adolescents preferred Comfortable working within a Christian school environment and supporting the faith life of the community Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Benefits Paid time off Health insurance Professional development opportunities Collaborative and mission-driven environment
