Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference across multiple schools by delivering impactful special education instruction for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise in Wilson Reading and provide dedicated support to students in both middle and high school settings. With a flexible, 25-hour workweek running Monday through Friday, you'll focus on tailored instruction—and you may even have the chance to work remotely, should an on-site educator not be found.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification and licensure Demonstrated experience or certification in Wilson Reading System® instruction, especially with middle school learners Previous work supporting students with a variety of learning needs at both middle and high school levels Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Adaptable, organized, and comfortable working across multiple campuses (including charter and Montessori settings) Ability to work independently and maintain thorough instructional records
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver 5 hours per week of Wilson Reading instruction to a middle school student Provide an additional 20 hours of special education services across a high school, charter school, and a Montessori school Focus exclusively on direct instruction and educational support—no case management or administrative duties required Collaborate with school staff to align instructional strategies with student IEP goals Participate in regular updates regarding student progress and consult with educational teams as needed Step into a rewarding position where you'll help unlock students' potential and support diverse learning communities.
