Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of 5th grade students as a certified special educator on a contract assignment. In this rewarding role, you'll support approximately 12 students experiencing challenges in reading, math, and executive functioning. This opportunity is set within a collaborative school environment near Meredith, NH, where teamwork with the grade-level educators is central to student success. The position runs from August 31 through the December break, providing a meaningful way to impact the upcoming academic term.
Key Qualifications:
Valid special education teaching certification Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in 5th grade Strong background in addressing reading, math, and executive functioning needs Excellent collaboration and communication skills Ability to implement individualized and small group instruction Familiarity with IEPs and progress monitoring Professional, flexible, and organized approach
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to a group of approximately 12 students in small group settings Address individual learning differences in reading, mathematics, and executive functioning Coordinate closely with the regular education team to design and implement effective strategies Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust instruction as needed to meet student goals Maintain clear documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students' educational planning Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment This role offers a unique chance to enhance your experience as a special education professional while collaborating with dedicated colleagues.
