What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (state certification required) Experience teaching diverse learners in grades K-8 Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and delivering specialized instruction in reading and math Strong collaboration skills to work with general ed teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Comfort working in close-knit, small school settings with limited extreme behaviors Solid skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction Adaptability in schedule/planning as hours may vary by assignment
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct, specialized instruction to students in both pull-out and push-in models Serve caseloads ranging from 7 to 8 students at each site, including students with SLD, developmental delays, and those receiving speech/language support Design, implement, and modify IEP-focused lessons in reading and math Collaborate with a dedicated team, including up to 4 1:1 paraprofessionals for academic support Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment in small schools (with approximately 40 students each) Participate in ongoing communication with staff, administrators, and guardians as needed
