Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success in the special education setting from September 2026 through June 2027. This part-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role is focused on delivering high-quality instruction to students across multiple school environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience delivering Wilson Reading Instruction, especially to middle school students Skilled in adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs across ages and academic levels Comfortable teaching both in-person and via remote platforms, if necessary Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Responsibilities Include:
Providing 5 hours per week of targeted Wilson Reading instruction to a middle school student Delivering an additional 20 hours per week of instruction-focused services at a high school, charter school, and Montessori school Creating and executing individualized lesson plans to support IEP goals Maintaining documentation and tracking progress in collaboration with school teams Flexibility to travel between school sites or provide remote instruction, if required Focusing exclusively on instruction, without case management or assessment responsibilities Embrace the variety and flexibility of working with different school communities, and help learners reach their fullest potential through engaging, effective teaching.
