Full Job Description About Us:
For more than 30 years, Little Meadows Early Childhood Center has provided quality early learning experiences for the diverse and varied needs of all young children. We provide the resources to enable young children to reach their full potential in life through specialized instruction and individualized programs. We maintain strong cultural integrity with respect to children and their families, and employ staff with the highest ethical standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Little Meadows Early Childhood Center is currently seeking a certified B-2 Special Education teacher or a dual certified B-2 Early Childhood/Special Education teacher for a floater teacher starting immediately. This will include both CPSE and EI classrooms. M-F 7:30 am
3:00 pm.
This is a 12-month position. Easy parking.
Required Experience/Certification:
B-2 Special Education Certification (Required)
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with developmental disabilities in a classroom setting.
Develop and implement IEPs and IFSPs for students based on their unique needs.
Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with speech therapists and other specialists to support students' communication and language development.
Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Use learning technology and literacy education strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for students with autism and other special needs.
Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Stay current on best practices in special education, incorporating new techniques and approaches into teaching methods.
