This position requires to travel between our Laurel, NY; Riverhead, NY and Mattituck, NY locations. (Depending on which site needs support) We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and creating a supportive educational environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Creative Curriculum to maintain, improve and/or enhance the educational functioning of the student
• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to support student development
• Demonstrates knowledge of Early Intervention Program and all associated paperwork requirements
• Willing to travel between sites Qualifications
• Valid NYS Certified Special Education Teachers Birth-2 or Equivalent.
• Experience/knowledge and understanding of developmental delay
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience writing progress reports
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Must be fun and engaging!
