Job Description

At Clermont County ESC, we are dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students with hearing impairments. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of the Deaf to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, possess strong communication skills, and have a deep commitment to the success and well-being of their students.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field; Valid state licensure in Deaf Education or Special Education ; Knowledge of and experience with various communication modalities, such as American Sign Language (ASL), Conceptually Accurate Signed English (CASE), cochlear implants, and hearing aids; Ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues; Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Must have valid driver's license and provide own transportation to travel between sites.
