Remote School-Based Special Education Teacher - Ohio
Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Remote School-Based Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist - Ohio Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited program Active Ohio Special Education teaching license/credential or ability to obtain one Intervention Specialist licensure in Ohio preferred/required based on district requirements Minimum of 1-2 years of special education and/or school-based teaching experience Experience developing and implementing IEPs Strong understanding of Ohio special education requirements and educational practices Experience with virtual instruction or teletherapy/tele-education platforms is a plus Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time-management skills Comfortable using virtual platforms, educational technology, and digital resources Instructional & Special Education Services Provide high-quality virtual special education instruction and support to students Provide small-group and/or individual instruction as outlined by the student's IEP Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on academic and behavioral data IEP & Student Support Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, reevaluations, and other special education team meetings Track student progress toward IEP goals and maintain appropriate documentation Maintain accurate and timely student records and progress documentation Collaboration & Team Participation Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, families, and other members of the student's educational team Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student progress, needs, accommodations, and services Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development as required Build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel Work collaboratively to ensure students receive consistent and appropriate educational support Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate documentation related to instruction, student progress, IEP services, and special education requirements Ensure services are delivered in accordance with student IEPs and district expectations Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards Complete required progress reports, evaluations, and other documentation Technology & Virtual Instruction Utilize virtual learning platforms to provide engaging and effective online instruction Use digital instructional tools and resources to support student learning and engagement Ensure a professional and appropriate virtual learning environment Advocacy & Professional Standards Advocate for appropriate educational services, accommodations, and supports for students with disabilities Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and school staff Stay current with special education practices, instructional strategies, and applicable Ohio requirements For additional information, please contact Baylie Gossett, Director of Educational Resources @ ProCare Therapy & VocoVision! 904-595-8144 Baylie.gossett@procaretherapy.com #p34
