Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in a publicly funded private school near Maumee, OH. This position focuses on meeting the diverse needs of K-3 students with specific learning disabilities and one student with a traumatic brain injury. With a flexible two days per week schedule, you'll be making a meaningful difference while balancing your professional commitments.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Special Education teaching credentials appropriate for the K-3 level Experience working with students diagnosed with specific learning disabilities (SLD) Familiarity or previous work with students affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) is strongly preferred Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet a variety of educational and developmental needs Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective partnership with parents, staff, and administration Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Availability for placement beginning ASAP through the end of the school year
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction to K-3 students with SLD and TBI Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and classroom activities Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations Participate in team meetings and school initiatives as required Shape the school year by bringing your expertise to a setting where every week you can see your impact.
