Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher on a short-term contract. This assignment covers a critical period from November 2026 through February 2027, offering the chance to make a direct impact while furthering your experience in a rewarding educational environment. In this position, you'll work with third-grade students in an intervention setting, delivering targeted instruction aligned to Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. This is an opportunity to exercise your expertise in providing both academic and individualized supports, while participating in collaborative team efforts with staff, related service providers, and general education teachers.
What We're Looking For:
Valid state certification in Special Education (required) Proper grade-level and special education endorsements (required) Previous experience in elementary special education or intervention settings preferred Proficiency with IEP creation, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to various learning needs Collaborative mindset for partnering with staff and participating in IEP meetings
Key Duties Include:
Delivering specialized instruction and interventions to meet students' unique learning goals Implementing accommodations and modifications per IEPs Documenting student progress in accordance with regulatory requirements Maintaining clear, ongoing communication with team members and families Participating actively in student support meetings and planning
Assignment Details:
