Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher within a supportive, publicly funded private school environment serving students with diverse learning needs. This contract position is designed for those who have a passion for helping young learners succeed. The role is part-time, with a schedule of two days per week, and runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year. In this role, you'll work closely with students in kindergarten through third grade who have specific learning disabilities (SLD), as well as one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), tailoring your approach to address their unique challenges and strengths. The setting provides a nurturing community-oriented environment with an emphasis on personalized learning and meaningful student support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for the grade levels served Experience working with elementary students, specifically K-3, preferred Knowledge of supporting students with SLD and TBI Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
