Job Description
50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a school-based position in Sandusky, OH . Candidates with Intervention Specialist (IS) experience are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction, develop individualized education plans, and support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative educational environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Ohio Department of Education regulations, and district policies. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching License or Intervention Specialist (IS) License (preferred). Candidates with Intervention Specialist (IS) experience are highly encouraged to apply. Previous school-based special education experience preferred.
