Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Milwalkie, OR who is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support elementary students in specialized classroom settings focused on social, emotional, and behavioral growth. These classrooms provide structured, predictable environments where students receive individualized support to help them succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Teachers will work alongside experienced paraeducators and multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based strategies and create positive learning experiences for students. Position Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with paraeducators, school psychologists, and educational teams Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Implement data-driven behavioral interventions and supports Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Partner with families and school staff to promote student success
Program Details:
Transitional Learning Center (TLC) Elementary Classroom Focus on social, emotional, and behavioral skill development Structured classroom environment with predictable routines Data-based behavior support plans Current caseload of approximately 7 students, plus 1 student mainstreamed full-time Supported by 3 highly experienced paraeducators Weekly team collaboration meeting on Mondays until 3:30 PM with paraeducators and the school psychologist Elementary Classroom Setting Current caseload of approximately 7 students Supported by 3 paraeducators Collaborative and team-oriented environment
Contract Details:
Pay:
$52 to $56 per hour•
Job Type:
Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00
PM Contract Dates:
October 7, 2025 through June 23, 2026
Qualifications:
