School Age Teacher: Before & After school Care

Job Description

SPLIT SHIFT HOURS
6:00AM-9:00AM ; 3:00PM-6:00
PM Principal Account-abilities:
1. Provide a safe and creative space for the educational development of the children. 2. Serves as a liaison between teachers, children and parents. 3. Endeavor to carry themselves with integrity, excellence and display work ethics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible at all times for the care and safety of the children. 2. Assist in the implementation of the program's daily activities. 3. Attends team meetings as requested. 4. Assist with special events conducted by the center. 5. Performs cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned. 6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Center Director, Assistant Director, and Owner.
Job Skills Required:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication 2. Experience working with children 3. Ability to work in teams 4. Organizational skills
Educational Requirements:
The commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services requires a teacher to have attained one of the following levels of qualification: A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services field; or A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training described in the Commonwealth's regulations; or A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and 1 year of experience working with children. A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and completion of a post secondary training curriculum described in the Commonwealth's regulations; or A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years of experience working with children.
