Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Experience the fulfillment of making a meaningful impact on elementary students' lives as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers engaging work with K-5 students in resource classrooms, utilizing both push-in and pull-out models. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 4, 2027, this position involves supporting diverse learners across Life Skills, Autistic Support, and Learning Support roles, with exciting variety and collaboration across two elementary school buildings. You'll work a consistent 37.5-hour week, Monday through Friday, helping to shape young minds and provide individualized support that fosters academic and personal growth. Candidates with a passion for inclusive education and a dedication to advocacy for every student will thrive in this role. Competitive compensation ranges from $37.15 to $54.26 per hour, ensuring your commitment and expertise are recognized.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Instructional I or II PA Certification in K-12 Special Education (no emergency certifications accepted) Applicants from out of state will be considered—please submit your credentials for review Experience or interest in Life Skills, Autistic Support, and Learning Support preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions to K-5 students in resource room and inclusion settings Travel between two buildings to support diverse student populations as needed Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to effectively address IEP goals Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting social, emotional, and academic growth Take this opportunity to inspire, guide, and empower exceptional learners.
