Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students with mild intellectual disabilities. This full-time position serves one campus, providing you the chance to build strong relationships with both your students and colleagues throughout the school year. Youll be part of a collaborative and supportive culture that values the unique strengths and contributions of special education professionals like you.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching certification required Experience working with middle school students preferred Expertise supporting students with mild intellectual disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams Passion for fostering growth, independence, and achievement in diverse learners
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to middle school students with mild intellectual disabilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with team members and families Adapt curriculum and classroom environment to meet individual student needs Monitor and track student progress, reporting data to stakeholders Collaborate closely with other educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff Participate in school meetings, professional development, and required trainings Maintain compliance with state and district SPED requirements
