We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher for an on-site position working with a Resource Inclusion classroom. This contract opportunity will run from ASAP through the end of the school year.
What you bring:
Current Special Education Teacher certification (Texas or eligible for reciprocity) Prior experience in a Resource or Inclusion classroom highly valued Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to classroom needs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Key responsibilities: Design and implement instructional strategies tailored to diverse learner needs within the classroom Provide direct and indirect support to students with mild to moderate disabilities Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student success Participate in developing and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Track and document academic and behavioral progress, adjusting interventions as needed Contribute to ongoing dialogue with parents, caregivers, and team members to ensure comprehensive support for each student This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to expand your professional experience while making a lasting impact in the lives of students and families.
